These new members have experience and expertise in various practice areas in which az has been systematically growing and developing.

albagli zaliasnik (az) has reinforced its legal team in view of the new challenges that the second half of 2023 will bring, incorporating seven new professionals, each with extensive experience and knowledge in different practice areas in which az has been growing and developing systematically.

According to managing partner Rodrigo Albagli: “It is important to continue strengthening our teams in order to align our service proposal with the business objectives of our clients”.

In this sense, he added that considering the challenges of the different industries in which they participate and the nature of their client portfolio, they have incorporated during the first half of 2023 valuable professionals that allow them to continuously improve their value proposition.

In this context, the following professionals have joined the firm:

María José Campeny is the new senior associate of the Public Law – Regulated Markets group. She is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds an LLM in Public Law from University College London. She also has experience in both the public and private sectors, having previously worked in law firms such as the Comptroller General of the Republic.

Nicolás Cruz is a senior associate of the Civil Litigation – Arbitration Group. He is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds a Master’s Degree in Advanced Legal Sciences from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra. He has represented important national and international companies in complex litigation conflicts. Nicolás also has vast experience in reorganization proceedings as well as in national and international arbitration.

Carlos Lazcano, who joined the IP, Tech & Data Group as a senior associate. He is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile with a Master in Business Law from the Universidad de los Andes. His professional career includes, among other matters, trademarks, copyrights, patents, unfair competition and issues related to technology and digital economy. She also stands out for her ability to resolve complex disputes and negotiations with national and international clients.

Daniela Castillo has joined the Firm’s Criminal Law Group as an associate. Daniela is a lawyer from Universidad Diego Portales and has an active participation in economic criminal litigation and criminal compliance, including several cases of public connotation.

Francisca Macchiavello, has joined the azCompliance Group as an associate. She is a lawyer from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and has outstanding experience and specialization in issues related to compliance, ESG and the implementation of compliance programs with a focus on areas such as Corporate Criminal Responsibility, free competition, consumer environment, data protection. Francisca also has an outstanding track record in the field of certification of crime prevention models.

Simonne Rojas joined as an associate of the Corporate Group – Business of az. She is a lawyer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Simonne focuses her practice in the areas of corporate law, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, highlighting a special dedication in the telecommunications industry.

Valentina Herrera, as an associate of the Tax Group. Valentina is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and her activity is focused on advising individuals and companies on tax matters, both locally and internationally.

According to Rodrigo Albagli, managing partner, it is crucial to continuously strengthen the teams to align the services offered with the clients’ business objectives.
