How is it progressing and what will be the impact of the energy transition project?

Feb 14, 2024

Industry experts agree that the regulations currently under discussion are along the right lines to promote the decarbonization of the energy matrix, but will require complementary efforts.

In december last year, the Senate approved in general the energy transition bill, which seeks to position electricity transmission as an enabling sector for carbon neutrality and is currently in its first constitutional procedure.

For Antonio Rubilar, director of Public Law and Regulated Markets at Albagli Zaliasnik, although everything will depend on the tenor of the indications that are approved, the first impact at the investment level will be the strong focus of the law on transmission and, in addition, by regulating energy storage, “it will allow giving regulatory body to what today is a reality in terms of renewable energies, batteries as a stabilizer of income for the sector“.
