The Annual Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA) is one of the most relevant global events in the legal industry, since it allows professionals from all over the world to exchange knowledge, share best practices, generate networking opportunities and get to know the vision of top global experts.
AZ is represented by partners and senior associates throughout different practice areas and has been actively participating in the meetings and encounters organized by the IBA. This is an excellent opportunity to explore new opportunities for the legal profession. We are committed to learning about developing new and emerging issues, sharing experiences with clients and promoting best practices in the industry.
This year the meeting adopted a new modality in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis. The “IBA 2020 – Virtually Together Conference” begins today, November 2, with a keynote address and will culminate with the Rule of Law Symposium on November 27.
According to Horacio Bernardes Neto, president of IBA, this year’s event represents a great opportunity for the international legal community, since more than 250 sessions will be included in the program, in addition to several free access conferences. [More information]
It is important to remember that during the 2019 event, around 5,000 professionals from 120 countries gathered at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea.
On the contrary, IBA 2020 will stand out for offering sessions linked to creative and innovative opportunities for social media and digital platforms, allowing people to enjoy everything that an Annual IBA Conference offers in a virtual way.
“It is essential to promote cooperation among IBA members in times of constant change. […] This space will be the event that allows us to establish the new bases that will guide the legal industry at a global level,” concluded Rodrigo Albagli, partner of AZ.
