Our Legal & Business director, Stephanie Cruz, and senior associate of the Corporate and Business Group, Macarena Waidele, participated in the event “Biennial IBA Latin American Regional Forum Conference: The Road to 2030 in Latin America”, organized by the International Bar Association (IBA).
The event was held from Wednesday, March 19 to Friday, March 21 at The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, Lima, Peru.
The event included several activities to generate a networking space to share experiences with clients and establish new contacts.
On this occasion, the regional meeting included several conferences given by experts on the following topics:
- Energy transition and infrastructure challenges.
- AI, talent retention and other key issues in law firm management.
- Anticipation of trends in M&A, private equity, venture capital, capital markets and compliance.
- Regulatory change amid ongoing political uncertainty.
- The rise of technology and innovation.
In addition, Stephanie and Macarena attended a complementary activity promoted by the Compliance Latam network together with the firm CPB from Peru. The meeting was held on Wednesday 19, bringing together other members and lawyers of the platform.
This space served to share and reflect on regulatory trends and challenges in corporate governance in light of the need for solid frameworks that promote a safer and more ethical business environment.
