Macarena Waidele

Macarena Waidele is a member of our firm’s Corporate and Business Group.

A member of AZ since 2021, Macarena focuses her practice on corporate, commercial, and civil law, as well as international trade, compliance, and public procurement. She has advised clients of various sizes, industries, and investment stages in a wide range of commercial transactions, merger processes, acquisitions, and restructurings.

Her work primarily focuses on providing ongoing legal counsel to national and international companies across various industries in corporate, commercial, and civil law matters. This includes drafting and reviewing all types of contracts and corporate modifications for both Chile and other jurisdictions, with the support of foreign attorneys. She has advised on corporate group restructurings in sectors such as energy, mining, telecommunications, technology, real estate, aquaculture, education, advertising, and culinary industries.

She has solid experience in due diligence processes, leading and coordinating work in areas such as corporate, labor, insurance, litigation, tax, real estate, and regulatory matters. Additionally, she actively participates in the subsequent negotiation of business purchase and sale transactions.

Macarena also advises on matters related to compliance, international trade, public procurement, insurance, and reinsurance. For example, she has supported a multinational sports equipment company in import requirement matters and has advised a real estate company in the repair process of a building affected by a disaster, participating in negotiations with insurance adjusters and the insurance company.

Her knowledge of accounting and tax law allows her to fully understand business operations, resulting in comprehensive and strategic legal advice for clients. Additionally, she has drafted legal reports in English on related-party transactions, which have been used in arbitration proceedings.
