This online system seeks to streamline and simplify the management of disputes related to Small Means of Distributed Generation.
On October 24, 2024, the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels (SEC) announced the implementation of the “PMGD Disputes Platform”, an innovative online system that seeks to streamline and simplify the management of disputes related to Small Means of Distributed Generation (PMGD).
The most important aspects are described below:
- Objective of the Platform: This digital tool optimizes the processing of PMGD disputes, allowing users to submit their claims digitally and access a quick and transparent follow-up of their cases. The system complies with the provisions of Article 121° of Supreme Decree N°88, facilitating the resolution of disputes related to connection studies, costs, additional works and other technical aspects.
- Requirements and Exclusions: Interested parties, such as owners, PMGD operators and project representatives, must register on the platform to submit their disputes. However, complaints, consultations, requests for interpretation and extensions of specific reports are excluded from this process and will continue to be handled through the SEC’s traditional channels.
- Validity and Responsible User: Resolutions and notifications issued by the SEC through this platform will have official validity for registered users. In addition, distribution companies will have a period of five days from the official notification to designate a user responsible for managing disputes on the platform.
The platform will be available as of November 20, 2024 on the PMGD section of the SEC’s official website.
