The ranking “IAM Patent 1000” from the journal of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) listed Albagli Zaliasnik as one of the leading firms in Chile for patent matters. The publication highlighted the firm’s litigation area, especially for work in connection with the pharmaceutical industry and the defense of the inventor of the Mining Rescue Capsule, used during the procedure that allowed the rescue of 33 miners in the city of Copiapo during the year 2010.
With regards to the individual categories, we are proud to announce that this year two professionals were highlighted from the area. Ariela Agosin, partner of the firm, who was recognized in Band One and Eugenio de Gormaz, Director of IP, awarded this year for his leadership and closeness with clients on complex issues.
This ranking is the only one specialized in the area and is performed each year by choosing the best firms and lawyers through an extensive research process that lasts close to five months. During this process IAM conducts interviews with attorneys, consultants, contacts, and clients.
This distinction amplifies what was published by Managing Intellectual Property, where Ariela was chosen as one of three Chilean women in the list of “The Top 250 Women in IP” on a global level. The reason she was chosen? She handles a wide range of work within the field, including legal advice, litigation, prosecution and portfolio management, aside from the importance of the clients and businesses she advises.
